4th of July

Last night Luke humored me and we decided to celebrate the 4th of July. Being away from the US now for almost a year, I thought it was really nice to celebrate a little bit of home away from home. The evenings aren't exactly a warm 4th of July summer's evening, so when we wanted to BBQ our hot dogs (all beef sausages) we had to improvise by putting them in the oven. Before all of this could happen I needed to make the cake and the red and white frosting!

At last we dove into hot dogs, baked beans and beer topping it off with my red white and chocolate cake. yum!
