Manly Scenic Walkway

With another beautiful day in Sydney, and a chance to finally enjoy the good weather, Luke and I hit the dusty trail across the Harbor Bridge to the Manly Scenic Walkway yesterday. Its  10K/6mile trail that winds along the northern coast of the harbor from a place called Spit Bridge all the way to Manly. The first half was a little bit...tough. There were a lot of stairs and they were going up. But the views were incredible. Sometimes we were walking for a few minutes without any view of anything except trees and suddenly it opened up and there was the city skyline or the shining blue Pacific Ocean.

 How cool is this houseboat?

A nice view of the city over the hill

We finally had Manly in our sights!

Even though the sun was shining, walking past this park we remembered it really is the end of Fall here and coming into winter. It is really nice to see some leaves falling and different colored trees. It's amazing how cut off you can be from something as simple as noticing a season change when you stay within the concrete walls of the city.

We rewarded our efforts with a visit to 4 Pines, microbrewery in Manly where they brew their beers on sight. We had heard a lot about it and all the talk is true. It was really good beer and a really great crowd.
